Mikolas Josef has thanked his fans in Austria and was treated to a surprise himself.

Lie to me by Mikolas Josef has proven to be a hit throughout Europe, especially in Austria: the song even received the coveted “douze points” from  the Austrian televoters at Eurovision 2018.

The artist from Czech Republic called the studio of the radio show Vormittagsshow on Hitradio Ö3 to personally thank his Austrian fans for their support and host Andi Knoll surprised the singer with his placing in the music charts: Lie to me is the highest newcomer in the Ö3-Austria-Top 40.

Recording in Vienna

Mikolas Josef revealed in the radio show that he will travel to Vienna, Austria, in the coming week to record new music. The singer lived in Vienna for some time, and Lie to me is actually a Czech-Austrian production. No doubt Mikolas Josef will experience more success beyond the borders of Czech Republic!

Lie to me placed 3rd in semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2018 and eventually reached a respectable 6th place in the Grand Final, receiving 281 points.
