TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster has confirmed that Roberto Leal will be accompanying the 2018 Spanish Eurovision hopefuls in Lisbon.
Roberto Leal is amongst Spain’s most sought after television hosts having gained much name, game and recognition on home soil. The Spanish host hails from the south of Spain, namely Andalucia. Eurovision fans will be familiar with Roberto as he hosted the 2018 Spanish national final and the latest edition of Operacion Triunfo.
Roberto is currently brushing up his English and preparing for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest as he will be joining the Spanish team and TVE’s crew in Portugal.
Roberto commented on Eurovision 2018 and his predictions:
Amaia and Alfred have magic, and we will be transmitting this to everyone during Eurovision.It would be great to see Spain the TOP 10! I really like the entries from Norway and Czech Republic and Israel!

Spain in Eurovision
Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 with Conchita Bautista and has won the competition twice in 1968 (Massiel) and 1969 (Salome). The country successfully hosted the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid when four countries ended up winning the contest.
Spain has not missed a single contest since its debut in 1961 and has participated religiously in the competition every year.
