Partner Spanish Eurovision website eurovision-spain.com has conducted a survey among Spanish Eurovision fans in order to choose their favourite candidate to represent Spain. The winner of this survey has been none other than Chenoa, who was a backing vocalist to Rosa at the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn. She shot to fame in Spain during the first series of Operaciön Triunfo back in 2001. The news has spread like wildfire making headlines all over the Spanish media.

There has been a mass mediatic frenzy and reaction with the results of this survey, most of the important Spanish television shows, news agencies, newspapers and web portals have reported that Chenoa is the ideal candidate to represent Spain. Will she be chosen as one of the wildcards in the Spanish 2011 Eurovision selection? We will have to wait and see. Eurovisio-spain.com reports that Chenoa will be more than happy and honoured if she gets the chance to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest, and that she appreciates all the fan support she has been receiving off late.

At the moment we don't know who will be the the lucky wildcards to compete in the Spanish semi finals. Other artists tipped as fan favourites to represent Spain are Soraya Arnelas (Eurovision 2009), Rosa (Eurovision 2002), María Isabel (Junior Eurovision winner), and Mirela (Spanish Eurovision National finals 2007 and 2009).
