Eurovision 2016 runner-up Dami Im from Australia returns to the spotlight with her latest album I hear a song.

Dami Im takes us on a musical journey with her new album I hear a song, visiting some of the most inspiring songs by iconic female singers. The Australian artist pays tribute to these enigmatic, powerful and talented women, whose voices are still admired today.

To boot, Dami Im also included two original songs on the album.

For I hear a song, Dami Im travelled to Nashville, Tennessee (the United States), to work together with seasoned musicians. Among them is acclaimed Australian producer and singer-songwriter Rick Price.

Dami Im honours each song, giving them all a new sound with her characteristic powerful vocals.

Recording the album in Nashville proved to be a creative endeavor, adding new musical influences to Dami Im’s pop-sound, such as blues, country and jazz.

Dami Im at Eurovision

Dami Im (Seoul, South-Korea, 1988) represented Australia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Sweden.

With her song Sound of silence she won semi-final 2 with 330 points. In the Grand Final, Dami Im eventually reached the second place, winning the jury vote and placing fourth overall in the televote, earning 511 points, so far the highest score achieved by an Australian participant in the Eurovision Song Contest.
