Italy: Anna Oxa makes a comeback

Anna Oxa, who represented Italy together with Fausto Leali in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, has released a new song called Tutto l'amore intorno. The release of her new album is expected at the end of September.

Albanian–Italian singer Anna Oxa was born in 1961. At the age of sixteen, she made her first appearance during the Sanremo festival and finished second immediately with her song Un'emozione da poco.

In 1989, she won the Sanremo festival with the song Ti lascerò performed as a duet with Fausto Leali and did the same again ten years later with Senza pietà. During her career, she participated 13 times in the Sanremo festival. Her last performance was in 2006, after which she disappeared from the spotlights for a break.

Four years later, at the end of August 2010 she made a comeback with a new song called Tutto l’amore intorno, composed by Ivano Fossati. Her new album will be released in September.

Together with Fausto Leali, Anna Oxa represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1989 with the song Avrei voluto. They finished 9th out of 22 contestants.
