James Fox goes on tour with Chess

James Fox, who represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, is about to go on tour as lead actor in a new production of the 1984 musical Chess. Performances will take place all over the country between 27th August and 11th December.

The music of the musical, which tells the tory of an American and a Russian who try to win both the world championship in chess and the heart of a woman, was composed by ABBA members Björn Ulveaus and Benny Andersson. The musical was a success in the 1980s and spawned the hit song One night in Bangkok. The original album released also includes the voices of former Swedish Eurovision Song Contest entrants Tommy Körberg and Björn Skifs.

Former Fame Academy contestant James Fox represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. With his song Hold onto our love, he finished 16th in the final.
