Girts Licis, a name which might not sound that familiar to those who do not come from Latvia. The journalists at the press centre might know him as well, but not by name… Who is Girts Licis?
Coming from the Latvian broadcaster LTV as television host, Licis started up his own television production company. Now he is known as reader of the Latvian points during the Eurovision Song Contest.
Besides reading the Latvian votes from the Daugava river shoreline Saturday, he is one of the leaders of the press conferences here. It appeared he is very capable of stimulating the audience to ask questions and has good questions from time to time too!
