Last Saturday was the third and last semifinal in Iceland. Emotions were running high as the line-up for the country's final was about to be completed that night with another two hopefuls. The Icelandic broadcaster R�V had the chance to meet the semifinalists behind the scenes moments before the show started.

Many Eurovision fans tuned in to the Icelandic broadcaster last Saturday at 21:10 CET to watch the country's third qualifying round. To their surprise, a handball game against Denmark was being shown, thus postponing the semifinal of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins one hour. While this was happening, the five contestants were staring at the tv screen enjoying the match, which was won by Iceland by the way. Tensions were running high in the backstage, and RÚV possesses footage to prove it!
