escoday.com poll results

The esctoday.com poll voters widely agreed with the results in the national final. The two qualifiers Maria Arredondo and Alexander Stenerud had finished second and third in the poll respectively with 26.8% and 22.8%. Poll winner Venke Knutson (30.9%) was given another chance in Siste sjansen. The other second chance entrant however was Heine Totland, who had finished last in the poll with 2.7%.

In 2009, Norway was represented by Alexander Rybak, who won both the second semi final and the final with his song Fairytale. Norway is therefore the host country of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest and directly qualified for the final.
