Italy: Francesco sets the crowds in a frenzy on May Day concert in Rome

Italy is currently the hot to favorite to win the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest next week in Kyiv with Francesco Gabbani’s Occidentali’s Karma. The massive responsibility of bringing back the coveted trophy on Italian soil lies on the shoulders of maestro Francesco Gabbani. The Italian hopeful performed at the May Day open air concert in Rome on Monday 1 May in Rome and set the crowds into a frenzy!!!!!

The 2017 Italian hopeful treated the audience with a mini concert where he mesmerised both the tv viewers at home and in the arena with his charm and music. The special May Day concert was televised live on RAI 1.

Francesco Gabbani won the 2017 San Remo Song Festival and his San Remo winning entry (Eurovision entry) Occidentali’s Karma has gone viral not only in Italy but worldwide. He is currently both the bookies and fans hot favorite to belt the Grand Prix in Kyiv on 13 May.

The official videoclip of Occidentali’s Karma has broken many a record and received more than 106 million views on Youtube and counting. It is indeed the most watched videoclip in Italy and the most watched Eurovision entry on Youtube.
