Hungary: Joci Pápai’s official video clip released

The official video clip of this year’s Hungarian entry Origo has been released on the Eurovision YouTube channel. 

After their selection process A Dal, the country of central Europe has decided the 35-year-old Joci Pápai to represent them in Kyiv with an ethnic downtempo song named Origo. The language of the song is Hungarian and today the official Eurovision Song Contest channel released its music video.

About Joci Pápai

Joci Pápai is a Hungarian singer, rapper and guitarist of Romani descent. Pápai came into contact with music early because his older brother had started playing guitar at the age of four. He was influenced by music of the 1960s and 1970s, and rock, pop, soul, and R&B music. His public debut was in 2005, when he was a part of the second season of the TV2 show Megasztár.

His first big success was Ne nézz így rám. In 2006, he collaborated with rapper Majka with Nélküled and Nekem ez jár, but his big success came in 2015 with Mikor a test örexik. He then released a song in collaboration with Caramel and Zével Szabo titled Elrejtett világ.
