Olta Boka participated in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest for Albania managing to qualify in the final after two bad years for the country. Now the 17 year old singer releases her new single and video and enjoys popularity in her homeland.

S'duhet te dua is Olta Boka's new single which has now been for weeks in the Top 10 of the Albanian charts, the Maratona e Kenges on Radio Tirana (RTSH) in particular. The song is written by Adrian Hila, the man behind Zemren e lame peng with which Olta took part in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, Hear my plea, Albania's bid in 2007 and Tomorrow I go from 2005.

With this very song Olta took part in the Notafest, the Albanian festival in FYR Macedonia and won the jury prize and the video won her the Best Newcomer Award at the Nights of the Albanians Video Clips on RTSH.

Olta Boka finished a joint 16th with Spain in the final of Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with 55 points.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
