Tonight the first semi-final of Eesti Laul 2017 will be held in Estonia. 10 candidates will perform on the stage, presenting their potential Eurovision entries.

The first semi-final of Eesti Laul 2017 will start from 20:35 CET (21:35 local time) and will air on the following channels:

Tonight’s show

Tonight’s semi-final, hosted by Marko Reikop and Elina Netšajeva, will see the first 10 candidates perform their bidding entries on the Eesti Laul stage. The top 5 of this semi-final will go through to the final of Eesti Laul 2017 on 4 March.

The results will be decided in 2 rounds; round 1 will see the first 4 qualifiers determined via a 50/50 combination of a professional jury and the public televote, whilst the fifth and final qualifier will be decide 100% by a televote.

  8. Whogaux & Karl-Kristjan feat. Maian – Have you now
  9. Janno Reim & Kosmos – Valan pisaraid (I’m pouring tears)
  10. Leemet Onno – Hurricane

Among the participants of semi-final 1 of Eesti Laul 2017 are familiar names: Ivo Linna participated in the Eurovision 1996 (together with Maarja-Liis Ilus), Lenna Kuurmaa was part of the group Vanilla Ninja, who represented Switzerland at Eurovision 2005, and Elina Born performed on the Eurovision stage (together with Stig Rästa) in 2015.
