TVP, the Polish national broadcaster, has released the names of the jury members set to have their say on who will represent Poland at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest together with the public, as well as the names of the guests set to grace the national final stage.

Back in December, TVP confirmed that – for the first time since 2009 – Poland’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest will not only be determined via a public televote, but also by a jury vote.

Jury members released

The jury set to vote in Poland’s national final, Krajowe Eliminacje 2017, will consist of a total of 5 members:

  • Alicja Węgorzewska
  • Maria Sadowska
  • Robert Janowski
  • Włodek Pawlik
  • Krzesimir Dębski

The televote and jury vote will be combined on the night of the national final, the winner of which will go on to represent Poland in Kyiv at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

In the event of a tie, the act which received the highest amount of votes from the public televote will be crowned the winner.

Special guests

TVP has also revealed the names of the special guests set to appear and perform at the Polish national final; popular pop/pop-rock singer, Doda, as well as Poland’s 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest representative, Oliwia Wieczorek.

Hosted once again by Artur Orzech, Krajowe Eliminacje 2017 will take place on the 18 February and will air on TVP1 from 20:30 CET.

The acts set to compete in the country’s national final are set to be released by TVP in due course.
