The battles continued this evening and we have our 12 semi-finalists for Armenia’s Eurovision 2017 national selection, Depi Evratesil!

The final 12 remaining artists battled it off against each other this evening in the last battle show of Depi Evratesil, but only 1 artist per battle could qualify to the semi-final stage of the selection.

The last 2 artists from each jury team were paired together for tonight’s battles following mentoring from their team leaders, performing for the right to remain in the competition.

Following each performance, the jury panel would comment and vote for who they believed should proceed to next week’s show, with the leader of each battle group receiving a vote worth that of 3.

National selection format

Depi Evratesil began in October and will run throughout the coming weeks, consisting of 4 different stages in total. The Armenian representative will be determined in December, with the winner of the national selection being decided via a combined SMS vote and jury deliberation.

Although the artist will be decided in December, it is currently unknown how the Armenian song entry for the competition will be selected. More details are expected in the coming months.

AMPTV has decided to opt for a national selection in order to select Armenia’s act for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, the last time being in 2013.

The nation has received successful results over the years since their Eurovision debut in 2006, placing in the top 10 of the Grand Final a total of 7 times to date.
