Belgium: Ellie Delvaux (Blanche) to Kyiv!

RTBF, the Belgian French speaking broadcaster has confirmed today that Ellie Delvaux aka Blanche will represent Belgium at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.

16 year old Ellie Delvaux will follow Loic Nottet’s footsteps and fly the Belgian flag at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. The young singer who is also known as Blanche, has competed in The Voice Belgium. Ellie hails from Brussels.

Ellie is now collaborating with Pierre Dumoulin  (the lead singer of Belgian band Roscoe) on her new single scheduled to be released by early 2017. They have both penned the 2017 Eurovision Belgian entry together. RTBF is yet to confirm the date of their 2017 Eurovision entry’s premiere.

Belgium is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest having debuted at the 1956 Eurovision Song Contest. The country has won the competition once in 1986 with Sandra Kim‘s J’aime la vie.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May in Kyiv, Ukraine.
