France: France 2 opts for internal selection; opens call for artists and composers

French national broadcaster France 2, has opened the submission period for artists and composers wishing to represent France at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and has released the rules and regulations for its 2017 Eurovision selection.

France will once again opt for an internal selection in order to select its Eurovision entry and act for Kyiv. A special Eurovision Committee selected by France Televisions will be responsible to  deliberate the 2017 French entry.

France 2 has opened a call for all those who would like to fly the French flag at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv next May. If you wanna follow Amir’s footsteps and are eligible to enter the internal selection you can send in your application and song!

Artists, authors and composers wishing to represent France at ESC 2017 can submit their application to the French broadcaster until 30 November. Hereafter the 2017 French entry will be selected between 30 November and 10 March by the Eurovision 2017 Committee.

In 2016 France went internal and selected Amir to defend the French colours in Stockholm with J’ai cherche. France achieved an honorable 6th place at the 2017 ESC.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
