Tonight, Moldova will decide over its representative for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. 20 acts will present one song each before two juries and televoting will choose the fifth Moldovan hopeful in the competition.

The show

The show will start at 19:30 CET and it will be broadcast live from the Theatre of operaand ballet in Chisinau. 20 acts will be present one song each and the winner will be chosen by an expert jury, a jury of TRM executives and televoting.

Moldova was represented in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest by Geta Burlacu, who finished 11th in the first semi final thus narrowly not making it to the final with her song A century of love. In 2009, the country will take part in the second semi final on 14th May.
