The ten songs of the Greek national final were presented to the public during a special TV programme by Greek broadcaster ERT yesterday evening.

The entries werent broadcast live. Instead, there were ten videos, each one of them filmed on the same set and by the same crew in ERT's studios. The Greek broadcaster had earlier stressed on their website that they would pay special attention to fair treatment for all in this first public exposure of the participating songs.

The entries themselves satisfy a wide variety of tastes. There is a good share of slow ballads, but also some up-tempo songs; there were songs for those who like a touch of ethnic, and songs for those who go for a strong voice.

In any case, the voting has already started. The Greek public can already vote through SMS messaging in the remaining days until the Big Final this Wednesday, February 26. Those who want to vote have to text letter E, then the number corresponding to the entry of their choice (e.g. E1 for the song presented first, E2 for the song presented second, etc.) and then send their vote at no. 1434.

The online and SMS voting before the Greek final will count for 30% of the final result. A jury of specialists who include Marie N, last years Eurovision winner and future presenter of the upcoming contest in Riga, will contribute 40% of the total vote. The remaining 30% will come from the viewers through televoting and additional SMS messaging during the final.

According to the current listings shown on the broadcasters website, the Greek final will be also broadcast by ERT Satelliteat 23.00 local time.
