The second show of Eurovizija 2016 has just concluded this evening, with a further 3 acts being eliminated from the selection.

The Lithuanian national selection, Eurovizija 2016, continued this evening with show 2 of the competition. Eight acts competed in tonight’s show with their own entries, but only 5 could qualify to the next stage of the selection.

Tonight’s qualifiers were decided via a combined jury vote and televote. The jury consisted of both a national and international jury with the national jury being made up of 4 members (Darius Užkuraitis, Nomeda Kazlaus, Ramūnas Zilnys and Vaidas Baumila) and the international jury being made up of 3 members (Peter Freudenthaler, Syron and Karl Frierson).

Following the combination of votes, Ugne Smile, Lawreigna and Jurgis Brūzga were eliminated from the competition with the following 5 acts qualifying to the next stage:

• Ištvan Kvik & Ellada – Please don’t cry
• Rūta Ščiogolevaitė – United
• Valdas Lacko – Stay tonight

Eurovizija 2016 continues next week with show 3 of the national selection with a further 8 participants. Competing artists will be paired with songs which were submitted to LRT during the submission period and will go on to perform them to the public and jury.
