Dutch broadcaster TROS has announced they have received 330 entries for the Dutch National Final 2009. The new look Toppers (Gordon, René Froger and Jeroen van der Boom) will listen to the songs this week to select the songs they will perform in the show.

Following a public falling out between band members, former Netherlands Eurovision Song Contest representative, Gerard Joling, has left the group and been replaced by Jeroen van der Boom. The band will select their favourite songs without knowing who composed the songs. This is to ensure that no bias creeps into the selection process.

The band will select between four and six songs to perform at the Dutch national final on Sunday 1st February 2009. The location of the national final along with ticket information is expected to be confirmed in the near future.
