Denmark: One-day Melodi Grand Prix in 2009

Danish broadcaster DR have today revealed that the country's selection for Eurovision 2009, Melodi Grand Prix, will not have semifinals next year. The Danish representative will be selected in a single programme to be aired on January 31st.

Ten acts in total will compete at the 2009 running of Danish Melodi Grand Prix. Six of them will be selected from the open call for songs and the other four will be invited by DR to take part in the competition. The winner and therefore Danish representative in Moscow will be elected via SMS and jury voting.

All those interested in submitting songs can already do it. Deadline closes on October 8th at 12:00 h CET.
