by Jessica Weaver 38 views9

Malta’s entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, entitled Walk on water, has made its premiere this evening.

Revealed during a special presentation show during TVM’s news broadcast, Ira Losco’s entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest made its premiere along with the official music video.

The music video for Malta’s Walk on water entry was filmed last week at a number of locations, including the Malta National Aquarium along with several spots around the island of Gozo.

Listen to and watch the official music video of Walk of water below!

Walk on water, written and produced by Losco herself alongside Lisa Desmond, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren and Molly Pettersson Hammar, was selected via an internal selection following a call for entries back in February.

With 10 songs being shortlisted, including a revamped version of Losco’s winning MESC entry, Chameleon, Walk on water was chosen as the 2016 Maltese entry following an internal jury vote, consisting of members from 13 European countries.

Malta will compete in the first semi-final on the 10 May at the Globen Arena in the host city of Stockholm, Sweden.

what a waste of time and effort. There’s little to choose between the two songs and I think Chameleon is better suited to the competition.

  • I also think Chameleon was better. Shame!

Now that we know almost all the songs, (but 1 )
We have NONE winner material song in this year’s Vision!
Even my most favorites songs that are the songs of Ireland & Armenia could not be considered truly winner songs.(although they are still great songs of course)
So this makes me to think that MALTA can win 4 the first time ever in Eurovision on May :)
At least i find the maltese song better than the russian song that is overhyped to win instead.

  • *MarioVision*

The countries that have still not uploaded their videos in the official
eurovision page in youtube are:Italy, Croatia & Iceland
    other
than Bulgaria that will be the last country of this year’s EuroVision
that will unvail its song to us in 4 days on 21 March
Croatia will unvail its videoclip the same day as well.

This is a masterpiece and my winner so far…good luck Ira…

  • poussemoussu

Material winner is Iceland this year. Malta should have stuck to their original choice. This song is really annoying to me and screaming. Chameleon was way better!

  • n@

much prefer the Chameleon song – that was my initial favourite but not this.
