The Swedish national broadcaster SVT and the City of Stockholm have announced today that a grand party will be held at the Tele 2 Arena on Saturday 14 May.The mega show will be hosted by none other than Sanna Nielsen, the 2014 Swedish representative.

Eurovision fans coming to Stockholm will be in for a treat as Stockholm is all set to make their Eurovision experience a unique one. Both SVT and City of Stockholm are working round the clock in order showcase the best Eurovision Song Contest ever.

Sanna Nielsen will have honour  of hosting the party. Carola, Loreen, Danny Saucedo and Panetoz, DJ Tim Henri will be on stage entertaining the audience with their performances. Eurovision fans will be able to watch the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final on a gigantic 300 square metre tv and see unique backstage material from the Globe Arena.

Johan Bernhagen, the Executive Producer for Eurovision Song Contest 2016 comments:

Eurovision The Party is an opportunity for more people to be a part of the Eurovision event as the tickets for the Globe Arena practically are sold out. In the Eurovision Village a public viewing will be offered, in the EuroClub festivities for persons with accreditation will be organized. Eurovision the Party is a complement to all these events and a welcome event that we hope can become a tradition.

SVT and the City of Stockholm will organize together the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and Eurovision The Party is a part of ESC 2016. Producers for Eurovision The Party are Live Nation and SVT.

Host for the night is Sanna Nielsen – with the pre-party, the live broadcast and the after-party. During the live broadcast Sanna will take the party audience backstage in the Globe Arena for exclusive interviews and she has also promised to appear with the broadcast hosts, Måns Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede.

Sana Nielsen is thrilled with the hosting the party:

It will be a totally new Eurovision experience with all the extras. Together we will be able to follow the artists, the party and to dance the whole night long. During the broadcast the audience in Tele2 Arena can follow me backstage for a lot of fun interviews and a unique insight in what’s happening behind the scene.

The Swedish jury’s votes will be given live from Eurovision The Party in the live broadcast.
