The official Bosnian entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest has been presented this evening! Ljubav je will be the entry which will represent the returning nation this coming May in the city of Stockholm.

In a special presentation show entitled BH Eurosong Show hosted at the Sarajevo City Hall this evening, the internally selected Bosnian representatives consisting of Dalal Midhat Talakić, Fuad Backović Deen, Ana Rucner and Jasmin Fazlić Jala presented the country’s official entry for the first time. Tonight’s presentation show also featured guest performances from Maya Sar (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2012), Nina Badrić (Croatia 2012) and Marija Šerifović (Serbia 2007).

The country’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 was recorded in both the Bosnian and English language, however the Bosnian version entitled Ljubav je will be the official entry at the contest which will be performed on the Eurovision stage this coming May.

Ljubav je was written and produced by Almir Ajanović along with one of the 2016 Bosnian representatives, Jasmin Fazlić Jala. Almir, head of Tempo Production Studio, will finance Bosnia’s participation in the upcoming contest along with a number of fellow business sponsors from around the country.

Bosnia & Herzegovina will make a return to the Eurovision Song Contest following a 3-year break, with BHRT citing financial difficulties as the reason behind the country’s absence.

Bosnia’s last participation was in the 2012 competition where Maya Sar was internally selected by the Bosnian broadcaster to represent the nation. With her entry Korake ti znam, Maya qualified from the second semi-final, receiving a total of 55 points at the grand final and ending in 18th place.
