Rykka has won the Swiss national final and will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

The singer topped the leaderboard after the votes from the public and the jury were combined.

In tonights final, Rykka performed her Eurovision Song Contest entry, The last of our kind, as well as a cover version of Ellie Goulding’s Love me like you do.

At the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Rykka will perform her entry in the first half of the second semi-final on 12 May.

The singer also won our national chart, where she picked up 95 points out of 100.

Last year, Melanie Rene won the Swiss national final and represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.

Her entry Time to shine failed to impress voters and she finished last (17th) in her semi-final with four points.
