Austria will pick its Eurovision Song Contest 2016 tonight with Wer Singt Für Österreich. A total of ten acts will participate and two rounds of voting will decide who will go to represent the country in Stockholm this May.
The show will be broadcasted from ORF’s studios in Vienna, and will be hosted by Andi Knoll, Austria’s Eurovision commentator, and Alice Tumler, who co-hosted Eurovision Song Contest 2015 that was held in Vienna. The show will begin at 20:15 CET and is expected to last for 2 hours and 30 minutes. The voting and the superfinal rounds will begin at 22:25.
The winner will be decided by two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury made of Conchita, Julie Frost and Madita, along with a team of Austrian journalists, will rank the ten entries. A ranking from the televotes will be provided and combined in a 50/50 way. The top two will qualify to the superfinal, where televoting only will decide who will sing for Austria in Stockholm.
