Carluz Belo will sing the song number two Cavaleiro da Manhã at the Portuguese national final in Lisbon. The young Portuguese hopeful's song is a tribute to all immigrants, especially Portuguese ex-patriots with the homeland in their hearts.

Carluz Belo is a young singer and music producer who will have his breakthrough at Festival da Canção 2008. He is the composer, lyricist and singer of Cavaleiro da Manhã (The morning knight), which will be the second song to be performed.

Carluz says the song is a tribute to all the people that are living and struggling outside their countries. The title in English is Morning Knight, but the song will only be sung in Portuguese. The melody is rooted in three different influences Portuguese, Brazilian and African.

This participation at the national final is a dream come true for the young singer because he has been following the Eurovision Song Contest for many years. Read more about his career and the participation here.
