Italy: Sanremo 2016 Nuove Proposte acts revealed

The eight acts who will compete in the Nuove Proposte round of the Sanremo Music Festival 2016 have been revealed.

On the 27 November, the Sanremo Giovani final took place where the 12 finalists were put forward to a judging panel who went on the decide which of the six acts should move forward to the Nuove Proposte round of Sanremo 2016.

The committee was made up of Carlo Conti, Giovanni Allevi, Rosita Celentano, Piero Chiambretti, Andrea Delogu, Carolina Di Domenico and Federico Russo.

The six Giovani qualifiers will join the two Area Sanremo winners, listed below, who will all compete in the Nuove Proposte round of Sanremo 2016 in February.

On the 13 December during the television show L’Arena, Carlo Conti will reveal the names of the 20 acts who will compete in the Campioni round of Sanremo 2016. The winner of the Campioni round will be offered the chance of representing Italy at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Stockholm, Sweden.
