Armenia: Who is the mystery girl ? Sirusho?

AMTPV, the Armenian national broadcaster confirmed its participation at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest earlier today. The broadcaster has also released a mystery teaser revealing that a female singer will fly the Armenian flag in Stockholm. Who could this mysterious girl be? Sirusho? Iveti Mukuchyan? or Atheni Manoukian?

Armenia has gone internal once more in order to select its Eurovision entry and act for Eurovision 2016 like in the past years. The 2016 Armenian entry will be revealed on 13 October at 17:15 CET during AMPTV’s Profession of a Journalist TV Show. The show will be aired live and you can follow it here.

Sirusho is among the most sought after Armenian female artists in Armenia today. She enjoys fame, name and recognition both in her homeland and overseas.

Sirusho represented Armenia at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade with her entry Qele Qele. Has she decidded to give Eurovision one more shot? Or maybe its a totally new face? Check out the teaser below and make your deliberation.

In 2015 Armenia selected its Eurovision entry and act for Vienna via an internal selection. Genealogy represented Armenia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Face the shadow.

Armenia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best placing in the contest in 2008 with Sirusho and in 2014 with Aram Mp3, placing 4th on both occasions.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12, 14 May at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
