The singer who danced in the rain for Spain in Copenhagen will participate in a new song contest. Well, something more like a song, acting and impression contest. Besides, a new version of her debut album is ready to hit the shelves and the Net.
Short before Ruth Lorenzo went to Denmark to represent her home country Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, she performed as a guest artist at one of the galas of the show Tu cara me suena, broadcast by the Spanish private channel Antena 3, in which singers, actors and other celebrities compete to make the best impression of renowned songs and singers. Then she made an impression of the late Whitney Houston singing I have nothing. A few months after Eurovision she came back to the show to sing Sia’s Chandelier with her niece Rebecca.
The show is about to start its fourth season in Antena 3 with a new group of contenders. One of them will be Ruth Lorenzo, as we learned through eurovision-spain.com. The artist is returning to the show, but his time she will have to compete with other artists to impress the jury with the best impression. Another Eurovision past participant that will be with Ruth in the show is Silvia Abril, who danced as Gráfica to the tunes of Baila el chiki chiki with Rodolfo Chikilicuatre for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
This is not the only upcoming project for Ruth Lorenzo, as she is to begin a tour around Spain and to launch the special edition of her first album Planeta Azul, which will include unpublished songs in English, special collaborations and revisited versions of songs already released. The artist confirmed this information on her official Facebook page. The new edition will be released in October 2015.
The latest season of Tu cara me suena was won by the Eurovision 2015 Spanish entrant Edurne. Will Ruth Lorenzo win this new edition…? Let’s see…
