Iceland: María Ólafs releases Dancing in the storm

Eurovision’s 2015 Icelandic representative María Ólafs has uploaded her latest single from her debut EP Unbroken, entitled Dancing in the storm.

Following María Ólafs’ participation at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, the Icelandic singer has been busy performing in the National Theatre of Iceland, playing Ronia the robber’s daughter at the sell-out event. As well as performing in the theatre, Maria has also been performing at gigs around the country where she has been performing singles from her debut EP, Unbroken.

One of the songs which appears in the Unbroken EP is Dancing in the storm, which is the latest single to be released by the Icelandic singer. Dancing in the storm was written by Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson, Ásgeir Orri Ásgeirsson and Sæþór Kristjánsson and was produced by StopWaitGo, the same company behind Maria’s Eurovision entry Unbroken.

Also released as part of the Unbroken EP is her song Wild as summer along with a StopWaitGo remix of Unbroken.

Unbroken EP is available via both iTunes and Spotify.

Maria was selected to represent Iceland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest via the Iceland’s national selection process, Söngvakeppnin. With her song Unbroken, Maria was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the competition where she received a total of 14 points, ending in 15th position and failing to qualify to the Grand Final.
