As announced earlier, Flemish broadcaster VRT has published audio snippets of the five songs taking part in the second heat of Eurosong 2008, the Belgian selections for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. In cooperation with Belgovision.com we introduce you to Sunday's candidates: Kenza, E.F.R., Ishtar, Esther and Tanja Dexters.

01. Kenza – Breaking all the rules

Kenza takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Breaking all the rules. The music and the lyrics of the song were written by Rudolf Hecke. Eurosong 2008 isn't the first competition in which Kenza takes part. She already took part in Popstars on VT4 and in Wanna Sing on TMF last year.

02. E.F.R. – Your guiding star

E.F.R. takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Your guiding star. E.F.R. stands for Escape From Reality, the new musical project of Idols finalist Wouter. His song for the Belgian Eurovision Song Contest selections was written by Sergio Quisquater (Belgium 2002), Vincent Pierins and Patrick Hamilton.

03. Ishtar – O julissi na jalini

The group Isthar takes part in Eurosong 2008 with O Julissi Na Jalini. The song was written by Michel Vangheluwe, one of the ten members of the group which will be reduced in numbers on the stage of Eurosong 2008. Following the example of Sanomi, O Julissi Na Jalini is sung in an imaginary language.

04. Esther – Game over

Esther takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Game Over. The song was written by the British songwriting team Ross/McLaughin/James, but for the Flemish selections for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 Ingrid Mank and Esther herself wrote a Dutch version of the song. Game Over is the only song in Dutch in the competition.

05. Tanja Dexters – Addicted to you

Tanja Dexters takes part in Eurosong 2008 with Addicted to you. The song was written by Bobby Ljunggren, Henrik Wikström and Thomas G:son. The same Swedish team was responsible for Invincible, the song that finished fifth for Sweden in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 performed by Carola.

Last year the Walloon broadcaster submittedthe entry LovePower which was performed by the KMG's and finished 26th in the semi finalgetting 14 points- 12 of them from debuting country Georgia. The last time an entry by the Flemish broadcaster reached the top 10 was back in 1977! In 2008, Belgium will take part in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.
