The official videoclip of Il Volo’s Grande Amore has achieved more than 20 million views on Youtube.

One of the hot favourites to belt the 2015 Eurovision grand prix in Vienna, Il Volo are hot on the iron currently both in Italy and overseas. The boys won the 2015 Sanremo Song Festival last February with their song Grande Amore and were awarded the golden ticket to represent Italy at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna.

Thus Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio (Il Volo) will defend the Italian colours in Vienna at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest grand finale on 23 May with Grande Amore. Their Eurovision entry has gained much fame and popularity in Italy and Europe. Grande Amore is currently the bookies 2nd hot favorite to win the Eurovision trophy!

Grande Amore had to be shortened from its orginal length of 3:44 minutes to 3:oo minutes in order to comply with the rules and regulations of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Italy debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and was one of the founder members of the contest. The country has won the event 2 times in 1964 with Gigliola Cinquetti and 1990 with Toto Cotugno. Italy withdrew from the event in 1998 and returned back in 2011.

Italy’s Eurovision representatives have been selected via Sanremo in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015 since the country’s grand return to the contest. In 2014 Emma Marrone was selected via an internal selection.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 19, 21, 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
