ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster has announced and confirmed the dates for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest on their official website.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will be held on 19, 21 and 23 May 2015 in Austria, with the venue and host city yet to be confirmed.  The General Director Alexander Wrabetz of ORF revealed and confirmed the news in an interview with Austrian newspaper Vorarlberger Nachrichten. Hence Semifinal 1 will be held on 19 May, Semifinal 2 on 21 May and the Grand Finale on 23 May.

Mr Wrabetz told Worarlberger Nachrichten that all the 3 bidding cities and venues were well prepared to host the contest and that the grand final of the contest had been fixed on 23 May.

Hence we have new dates for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest as the preliminary dates were 12, 14 and 16 May.

A total of 3 cities are in contention for the coveted right to host the Eurovision Song Contest: Vienna with Wiener Stadthalle, Innsbruck with Olympiaworld and Graz with Stadthalle Graz.

ORF will announce the name of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest host city and venue at the end of July/ beginning of August.
