Eretz Nehederet (A wonderful country) is the leading satire show in Israel, which runs for the 11th year already, produced by Keshet and aired on Channel 2. In one of the programs, they decided to bring on their own version of Mei Finegold, the Israeli representative for Eurovision 2014.

During the show, Mei presents the songs that takes part in the Israeli national final and invites the public to call and decide which song will represent the country in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, nobody calls and the only caller has reached Mei by mistake.

Mei is portrayed by the actress Liat Har-Lev. Watch the video from the show right below:

The real Mei Finegold will represent Israel in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest with the song Same heart.

 


Gil is 23 years old, grew up in Israel and lives in Sweden. He began following the Eurovision Song Contest at the age of five, when the contest was held in Jerusalem in 1999. Gil joined the ESCToday team in March 2008, shortly after co-hosting the Israeli national selection that year.
