The official music video of Coming Home, the Maltese entry for Copenhagen, has just been released on TVM’s website.

A lyric video accompanying the new version of the song was published last week, which increased excitement for the official music video! The music video was produced by PBS with Angie Laus and Duane Laus who also produced Tomorrow‘s video last year.

The video carries an emotional story line about six different situations experienced by many soldiers during the war, many of whom missed their family at home and unfortunately never made it back home.  The main character in the video is the frontman of the band, Richard Edwards.  It has been filmed in various locations around Malta including Dwejra (Malta), Ta’ Qali, Xghajra (Zabbar), Delimara, Drydocks (Cospicua) and Dingli and contains a number of special effects.

The filming, editing, script and story line as well as the direction of the video were in the hands of Angie and Duane Laus.  Charles Ahar is the Director of Photography.  The video has been produced by PBS – Rodney Gauci. Anton Attard, Chief Executive Officer of PBS, commented that the video will be used as the primary tool for the promotion of the song across Europe.

The video commemorates 100 years since the start of World War 1 and is dedicated to those who never made it home.  The first World War centenary starts in 2014 and will last until 2018.

Malta will compete in the first half of the second semi-final on 8th May.

What do you think about Firelight’s music video?

I'm Luke Borg and I'm from Malta. I'm currently studying media and I'm a big Eurovision fan! My first Eurovision memory is when I was 8 and asked my dad why we have to sing in the semi-final to be able to sing on Saturday...it was in 2004!
