AMPTV, the Armenian national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that Armenia will participate at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.

AMPTV will be selecting its Eurovision act and entry again via its national selection Depi Evratesil.

In 2017, Armenia launched a national selection Depi Evratesil in order to select its Eurovision act and entry for Kyiv. Artsvik won the Armenian national selection and flew to Kyiv with Fly with me, where she placed 18th in the Grand Final.

Armenia in Eurovision

Armenia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens in 2006 and is yet to win the competition. Sirusho and Aram Mp3 retain the country’s best results to date, both having achieved a 4th place in the Grand Final respectively in 2008 and 2014.

Eurovision 2018

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 8, 10 and 12 May in Lisbon, Portugal.

The deadline for broadcasters to officially apply for Eurovision 2018 concluded on 15 September. Hereafter, countries had a grace period until 10 October to confirm their participation or withdraw their application without a penalty.

The final list of the 2018 Eurovision participating countries is expected to be released by the EBU later in due course.
