NTU, the Ukrainian national broadcaster has confirmed the list of cities bidding to host the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.

A total of 6 cities have officially submitted their respective bids to host the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine next year.

The first stage of the 2017 Eurovision host city bidding competition concluded yesterday 8 July. From now until 15 July a special Eurovision committee and NTU will evaluate all the bids and shortlist those elegible and complying with the EBU’s rules and regulations. Hereafter the bidding cities will be whittled down to 2 from 15-22 July.

The 2017 Eurovision host city will be announced during a special press conference on 1 August.

The 2017 Eurovision host city bidding race kicked off on 24 June and will conclude on 1 August, it will consist of 4 stages. Cities wishing to officially bid to host the 2017 ESC edition could officially apply until 8 July.

Bidding cities have to comply with the rules and regulations of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and the requirements to host the event.

The preliminary dates for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been set on 9, 11 and 13 May.
