This year’s Spanish Eurovision entrant seems to be tireless and ready for any challenge. Not only is she busy with her the Contest and the preparations for it. She has also been able to contribute to Disney’s latest movie Cinderella.

The story was known and it has been going on for a few weeks already. Edurne, the representative of Spain in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest, sings for Disney. The studio has recently released its movie Cinderella, a new recounting of Charles Perrault’s classic fairy tale. Though not a full remake of the Disney’s 1950 animated film, it borrows a few elements.

The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh, with Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Richard Madden in the main roles.

The Eurovision participant Edurne has provided the vocals for the song Soñar, which is part of the soundtrack of the film, in the Spanish-dubbed version, in projection in cinemas in Spain from 27 March.

The director of the film, Kenneth Branagh and the actor Richard Madden, who plays Prince Charming, recently visited Spain for the promotion of the movie with Edurne, who has somehow become the unofficial representative of the motion picture in Spain.

The song Soñar was unveiled a few days ago, but the music video was just launched on YouTube on 23 March. The clip alternates snippets of the movie with shots of Edurne walking down a palace staircase, in a princess gown. Of course, a glass shoe features in the video. It would not be Cinderella without it…

Edurne will represent Spain with the song Amanecer in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May.
