This year’s concept for the Eurovision postcards was revealed earlier today by the Austrian national broadcaster, ORF.
The postcards, which feature before every country’s Eurovision performance, will focus on each of this year’s entrants receiving a special invitation to the host city of Vienna. The invitations will be presented in parcel form to each of the artists who will then each be invited over to one of the 9 Austrian provinces.
Once each artist arrives in their invited province, they will then be invited to partake in an individual task relating to the host country. Tasks will include various activities including sporty, traditional and cultural events.
Filming has already begun with some of this year’s artists and will continue up until April. One of the countries whose postcard has already been filmed is San Marino’s with this year’s participants Michele Perniola & Anita Simoncini. Check out some images from San Marino’s postcard shoot below!
Other countries whose postcards have been recorded include Spain and Albania.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the host city of Vienna, Austria following Conchita Wurst’s victory back in 2014. The 2015 contest will take place on the 19, 21 and 23 May at the host venue, the Wiener Stadthalle.
