Marie Klåpbakken

Born on the 1 July 1985, Marie Klåpbakken is a singer, songwriter and fiddler from Vinstra, but is currently based in Oslo.
Marie learnt how to play the fiddle at a very early age, later going on to earn a Master’s degree as a folk soloist at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
As soon as Marie’s passion for the fiddle music grew, the Norwegian performer began to compete in a number of contests around the country, mainly focussing on the folk genre.
Marie first came into the Norwegian music scene in 2012 when she released her debut album, Framtida. She has since released a number of singles since, some of which include Tu unge vakre, Før meg heim, Sommardrøm, Eksistens and Uro.
