Poland: The story so far
Poland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 when Edyta Górniak was selected to represent her country in the host city of Dublin. With her entry To nie ja!, Edyta brought Poland their best results to date placing in 2nd position with a total of 166 points.
Poland’s last top 10 placing was in 2003 when Ich Troje represented their country with their song Keine grenzen-Żadnych granic. The band ended in 7th place receiving 90 points.
Last year, Donatan & Cleo were internally selected to represent Poland at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Copenhagen. With their entry My Słowianie – We are Slavic, the duo brought Poland one of their best results in recent years, qualifying to the Grand Final and finishing in 14th position.
Back in October, TVP confirmed Poland’s participation in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. TVP revealed to ESCToday that their Eurovision act would be selected via an internal selection, the same mechanism used in order to select their 2014 representative.
Poland will participate in the second half of the second semi-final in the host city of Vienna on the 21 May.
