The Albanian representative in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Elhaida Dani, informed her fans last night about the sudden change of the Albanian entry. After the withdrawal of Diell by the composer Aldo Shllaku, Elhaida will perform in Vienna the song I’m alive.

Elhaida Dani, last December’s Festivali i Këngës winner will be performing I’m alive in Vienna, a song that replaces Diell. Through her Facebook account she let everyone know that even though an official release is to follow, she wanted to be the first one to communicate the news to her fans and the wider audience. According to the post in which Elhaida explained that the composer of the song Aldo Shllaku for personal reasons has chosen to withdraw the song.

Zzap & Chris will be the composers of the new ALbanian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, I’m alive. Further information is yet to be revealed by the Albanian broadcaster in due course.

This is the first time ever that Albania changes their song after winning the Festivali i Këngës. The reasons behind this decision from Aldo Shllaku are not yet concrete nor is the fact that he chose to make it so last minute. In another note, if Elhaida’s latest Instagram post are to be taken in consideration it seems that Elhaida had already started working on the song and even made plans for it. No news are known at this point on how the new song will be selected or who the new team of composers is, however Elhaida closed the post saying that her main priority is to ensure that Albania gets the best possibly placing.
