Solju

Hold your colours

Solju consists of Ulla and Hilda, a mother and her daughter. They live in Utsjoki, Lapland, where Hilda has been involved with band activities. She also appeared as a guest in Ailu Valle’s album, a Sami rap artist. Ulla began her musical career in the 90’s as a part of the Angel Girls Ensemble. So far, she has released four solo albums. ”In the past we have been playing together, but UMK gave us the opportunity to work more closely. It makes this experience much more valuable.” ”Hold Your Colors” is a pop song which combines traditional Sami music in a modern form. The duo would like to show a different Finland to the world by representing the country in the Eurovision Song Contest”.

Hello my name is Daniel Doyle. I am 19 years old and I live in Rushden, United Kingdom. My first Eurovision was in 2004 where I was given permission by my parents to stay up late to watch the contest. Since then I have been a hardcore fan. The first Eurovision I went to was in 2010 and I hope to go to more in the near future.
