GPB, the Georgian national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that its 2015 Eurovision national final will be a 40 minutes show aired at 14:00 CET on Wednesday 14 January. The broadcaster has also revealed more details regarding its 2015 Eurovision final.
The 2015 Georgian national final will be a 40 minutes long Eurovision special feautured on GPB’s Kommunicator show and will be aired on GPB1 from 14:00- 14:40 CET. The show will be webcast live on GPB1’s official website. International viewers will be able to watch the show live via the official Eurovision Song Contest website.
During the show the 5 competing acts: Eteri Beriashvili, Edward Meison, NiUTONE, Misha Sulukhia and Nina Sublatti will present their respective entries and will perform on stage. Hereafter the votes will be announced. The 2015 Georgian Eurovision entry and act will be selected via a 50/50 jury- public SMS deliberation.
A total of 5 acts will battle in the 2015 Georgian national final on Wednesday 14 January in Tblisi, Georgia. The 5 potential Eurovision 2015 Georgian entries were released on 31 December on GPB 1.The Georgian public will be able to vote for their favorite song via televoting until 14 January.
Georgia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with Sopho Khalvashi‘s Visionary Dream. The country is yet to win the event and their best placing at the contest has been a 9th place in 2010 with Sopho Nizharadze‘s Shine and in 2011 with Eldrine‘s One more day.
The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 19, 21, 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle, in Vienna.
