DR, the Danish national broadcaster has revealed that the 10 acts along with their entries for the upcoming Danish national final Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 (DMGP 2015) will be released on the 26 January.
For the first time, DR will publish the full versions of the DMGP entries two weeks before the national final is set to take place. Jan Storage Lundme, the entertainment manager of DR, revealed:
We have chosen to issue all of this year’s songs in full length in advance to as many people as possible so they can get the chance to get to know them before the TV show.
The 10 song entries will be published on the 26 January and will be available to listen to on YouTube. The songs will also be available to listen to on a number of online streaming services as well as from the official CD.
Back in September, DR revealed that a total of 687 songs had been received for the 2015 Danish national final. From those 687 entries, a total of 6 have been selected to take part in the national final with another 4 entries being selected from invited contributors.
The Danish national final DMGP 2015 is set to take place next month on the 7 February. 10 acts will battle it out for the right to represent their country at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. The act which receives the most votes will fly to the host city of Vienna in May where they will fly the flag for their country.
Last year, Basim was selected via the national final DMGP 2014 to represent Denmark at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Copenhagen, Denmark. With his song Cliché love song, Basim received a total of 74 points at the grand final ending in 9th position.
The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 19, 21 and 23 May in the host city of Vienna, Austria at the Wiener Stadthalle.
