Today: Belarus live auditions continue

The second half of the audition stage of Belarus’ national selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 takes place today, which will be broadcast on by the national broadcaster, BTRC.

The show

One hundred songs were submitted and accepted to the auditions phase, which takes place at the BTRC 600 Metrov studio.

A jury made up of music experts will be responsible for selecting just 15 entries to progress to the national final.

The jury consists of Vasily Rainchik (musician), Alexander Tikhanovich (singer), Andrey Kholodinsky (music editor) and Marianna Drabovich (head of the Department of Arts, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus).

The auditions will be broadcast live from the BTRC website, beginning at 10:00 CET (12:00 FET).

The successful acts will be announced by BTRC in their Panorama programme at 19:00 CET (21:00 FET) later today, ahead of the national final, which takes place on December 26.

The result of the final will be decided by a combined jury and public vote, both accounting for 50% of the over all outcome.

In 2014, Teo and the song Cheesecake represented Belarus in the Eurovision Song Contest. After finishing fifth in the semi-final, Teo managed to place 16th in the grand final.
