Mary Hopkin, who represented the United Kingdom at the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest, will be making a Christmas comeback this month.

1970 British representative Mary Hopkin has recorded a song especially for Christmas, Iesu Faban (Baby Jesus). Mary’s latest single, which features backing vocals from her son and daughter, is described as a close, intimate choral performance of a traditional Welsh Christmas carol.

Back in 1970, Mary and her entry Knock, knock who’s there? were selected via the national final A Song For Europe to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. At the competition, Mary ended in 2nd place where she received a total of 26 points.
