The German broadcaster NDR has informed esctoday.com that the German entry for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will be selected on Thursday 5th March at the TUI Arena in Hannover.
German singer songwriter Andreas Bourani has called for individual artist and bands to apply.
Applicants who wish to apply for Unser Song für Österreich can find the application form here.
In the YouTube video that has to be uploaded, the applicant can perform either their own composition or a favourite song of theirs.
The 10 best candidates from this selection process will then go on to perform in Hamburg at a club concert in the Grosse Freiheit 36 on Thursday February 19.This performance will be broadcast live on NDR, eurovision.de and eurovision.tv. At the end of this show, TV viewers will nominate one act as the wildcard song and that entry will go to the final on March 5.
As well as the wildcard song, 7 national nationally known artists will also be competing in the final. The winner of Unser Song für Österreich will be decided by the TV audience.
Barbara Schoneberg will once again host both shows.
Elaiza who sang for Germany in 2014 were the wildcard candidate. Andreas Bourani speaks how important it is to be one:

Tickets for the “Club Concert” on February 19 in Grosse Freiheit 36 and the German pre “Euro Vision Song Contest 2015 – Our Song for Austria “is now available from 16,50 € or 19,90 € with our-song-for-oesterreich.de and at all known ticket agencies.
